2. Children's Black History Month Bingo

  • Event Details: Step into a world of discovery and fun at the Linden, New Jersey Public Library's Children's Black History Month Bingo! This vibrant event invites young minds to celebrate and learn about the rich tapestry of Black history through an exhilarating game of Bingo. Each call brings to life heroic figures, landmark events, and cultural milestones, weaving together an interactive tapestry of learning and joy. Children will not only enjoy the thrill of the game but also imbibe valuable lessons and stories from Black history, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation from a young age.


3. Kids Canvas Paint!

  • Date: February 13 or 27, 2024

  • Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

  • Location: John T. Gregorio Center, 330 Helen Street

  • Event Details: Canvas Painting Classes for Children. Everything needed is provided. These classes are interactive, with instructors demonstrating each step. Children will receive small, color replicas of the painting for guidance. To enhance creativity and relaxation, background music will be played for our young artists. Suitable for ages 5 to 12. Due to high demand, the class is available twice a month. Please select one date for your child's participation. A $15 fee is charged per class. You can register in person from 9am to 4pm at the JTG Center (330 Helen Street) or the Linden Multi-Purpose Center (1025 John Street). Online registration is open 24/7. 4. Mens Basketball League

  • Date: Every Tuesday

  • Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

  • Location: Linden Multi-Purpose Center, 1025 John Street

  • Event Details: The Men's Basketball League offers a blend of physical fitness, community involvement, and friendly competition, welcoming men of various ages and abilities. In-person sign-ups are open from 9am to 4pm at the JTG Center (330 Helen Street) or the Linden Multi-Purpose Center (1025 John Street), with around-the-clock online registration available. This league is open to men aged 18 and above.


5. Senior Citizen Line Dancing at the John T. Gregorio Center

  • Date: Every Thursday

  • Time: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

  • Location: John T. Gregorio Recreation Center, 330 Helen Street

  • Event Details: Classes in Line Dancing for Seniors. Engage in an enjoyable, beneficial, and fulfilling exercise with our line dancing classes tailored for seniors. The classes feature a variety of dance styles, such as salsa, ballroom, and country western. This program is offered at no cost to all senior citizens residing in Linden. 6. February Forest Footsteps

Kickstart the New Year with a refreshing visit to Hawk Rise Sanctuary, a landscape transformed by the winter season. Explore the sanctuary's unique beauty in the cold, uncovering the ingenious survival tactics of local flora and fauna. This nature walk is a perfect blend of education and exploration. Remember to dress warmly for the weather, as after the walk, we'll warm up with delightful servings of hot tea and cocoa. This event is complimentary and open to participants of all ages.
